TransitionsCONGREGATION, THE
DVD0071
This is a two-hour cinema verite of the First United Methodist Church of Germantown. Filmmaker Alan and Susan Raymond spent two years capturing the life of the congregation as they struggled to accept a newly appointed minister while at the same time supported their ordained lesbian associate pastor as she prepared for a clergy trial. It is a complex portrait of a Protestant church moving into the 21st century.
