This video is an introduction to United Methodist participation in ecumenical ministries made possible by the Interdenominational Cooperation Fund. In this program, viewers will meet two persons: Naomi Christensen, a farmer from Hastings, Iowa, and Larry Pickens, a pastor from Chicago, Illinois. Through their words and activities, ecumenism takes on a local flavor, and the ecumenical forums emerge as active forces in the life of the United Methodist Church. The program will help local church finance committees, administrative boards and councils and work areas on Christian unity and interreligious concerns. It will assist them in interpreting the work of ecumenism and encouraging its support through the Interdenominational Cooperation Fund. 10min Church Use Permitted |
