What is an Annual Subscription?
We would like to inform you about the wonderful subscription program that MARC is offering to the Michigan Area churches. First of all, the annual subscription is not required to utilize the resources offered by MARC. All churches that are part of the United Methodist Church can fully access the MARC resources without a subscription. There is a $15 rental fee per resource for non-subscribing churches, but subscribing churches have the following benefits:

- Unlimited Borrowing mdash; Resources may be borrowed through your church's annual subscription which entitles its members and staff to unlimited use of resources for the subscribing year.
- Affordable — The annual subscription fees for UM churches range $30 to $90 depending upon your church's membership. There will be no other cost to you except for the return postage. (MARC pays for the forward postage and churches pay the return postage)

If you end up borrowing more than a couple resources over the course of the year, it is considerably more affordable to signup for a subscription.
Subscription Cost is Based on Church Membership
- $30: A church/charge with up to 200 members
- $60: A church/charge with 201-400 members
- $90: A church/charge with 401 members or more
- $200: Non-UM church
- Simplicity — Administratively, not only is it cheaper, but using a subscription makes it easier to correspond and communicate with MARC (not to mention, it makes it easier for the wonderful staff members to remember your names).
Notes
- UM churches without subscription must pay a $15 rental fee per resource per use.
- Non-UM churches in Michigan that want to utilize MARC resources need to pay either annual subscription which costs $200 per year (flat fee) or rental fee which is $50 per resource per use. Resources will not be mailed out for preview only purpose, however, you may preview resources at resource center.
- December is designated for trial month for all UM churches and agencies in Michigan. Resources up to three that are checked out by each local church during the month are free of charge.
