General Council On Finance and Administration of the UMC
This handbook describes the basic financial records and procedures you need to receive, record, disburse, report, and manage the funds received by your church. It also provides instructions for good financial control and for using forms developed especially to assist United Methodist congregations. It is divided into three major sections: The Work of the Counting Committee, The Work of the Financial Secretary, and The Work of the Treasurer. Each section includes step-by-step directions to accomplish tasks that most churches tackle regularly including counting the offering, preparing and mailing reports of giving to donors, and preparing the periodic Treasurer's Report and other financial reports. Prepared and edited by the General Council on Finance and Administration of the UMC.
