At a time when bold distinctions were drawn between countries and hostility toward others was the rule, one small group experienced its own version of "peace on earth." Based on the true story that took place in Germany during World War II. On Christmas Eve, two groups of young soldiers become separated from their units. Tired and lost, they seek food and shelter at the same cabin. Gerta Braun, the German housewife persuades all the soldiers to lay down their weapons outside the home in honour of the Savior's birth.
