What is an Annual Membership?
We would like to inform you about the wonderful membership program that MARC is offering to the Michigan area churches. First of all, an annual membership is not required to utilize the resources offered by MARC. All congregations that are part of the United Methodist Church can fully access all MARC resources without a membership. All non United Methodist churches in Michigan and abroad that wish to utilize MARC are required to pay a one-time use fee of $50.00 per order, or purchase an annual membership at a cost of $200.
There is a $15 rental fee per resource for non-subscribing United Methodist Michigan churches, but subscribing churches have the following benefits:

- Unlimited Borrowing- Resources may be borrowed through your church's annual membership which entitles its members and staff to unlimited use of resources for the subscribing year.
- Affordable — The 2010 annual membership fee for United Methodist churches ranges from $40 to $110, depending upon your church/charge size. There is no other cost to you except for the return postage. (MARC pays for the forward postage; churches pay the return postage)

If you end up borrowing more than a couple of resources over the course of the year, it is considerably more affordable to sign up for a membership.
Membership cost is based on the size of your church/charge.
- $40: A church/charge with up to 200 members
- $75: A church/charge with 201-400 members
- $110: A church/charge with 401 members or more
- $200: Non United Methodsit church
- Simplicity — Administratively, not only is it cheaper, but utilizing a membership makes it easier to correspond and communicate with MARC.
Notes
- United Methodist churches without a membership must pay a $15 rental fee per resource per use.
- Non United Methodist churches in Michigan and abroad that wish to utilize MARC resources need to pay an annual membership fee of $200 per year (flat fee) or a one time rental fee of $50.00 per order. Resources will not be mailed out for preview only purposes, however, you may preview resources at the Resource Center.
- November and December are designated free "trial months" for all UMC's and agencies in Michigan. Resources up to three that are checked out by each local church during these months are free of charge.
